To My Dad

Happy Father's Day to my Father from above
And Happy Father's Day to the other one I love.

The father who resides on earth until his days do end,
Or perhaps, at least, until our Savior comes again.

The father who has raised me within his loving arms.
The father who has kept me safe from any harm.

He is the one that I adore and whom with I have fun.
And though I do love other men, he is number one.

Of course, he has his flaws and his faults and his sins,
But he knows to admit them, and that is why he wins.

The challenges he's faced have been at him a while,
But I want him to be the one to walk me down the aisle.

So Happy Father's day to the one whom I call dad.
He's always been my hero, and for that, I am glad.
